The Class Trip

1On Tuesday, Class 3 went to the city farm. Everyone had to bring a packed lunch and wear wellies.

2First, they fed the goats. A cheeky goat called Biscuit nibbled Amir's sleeve, and everyone laughed. Next, they collected warm brown eggs from the hen house.

3At lunchtime it started to drizzle, so the children ate their sandwiches inside the old barn. Mrs Hale counted heads twice before they climbed back onto the coach.

4On the way home, Amir pressed his face to the window and sighed. He was already counting the days until the next trip.

Comprehension: inference
