Usual timing

Registration usually opens in late spring of Year 5 and closes in June or July. The test is usually in September of Year 6, with results in October before the 31 October secondary school application deadline.

• ⚠ Reported change: the consortium test moves from GL Assessment to FSCE from September 2028 entry (the September 2027 test). Confirm with the schools.
• ⚠ Loreto Grammar School and St Ambrose College set their own tests.
